hhgregg Teams Up with Family First and All Pro Dad To Promote Stronger Families

Company to Support All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience Events in Nine Markets

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct 05, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Indianapolis-based appliance and electronics retailer, hhgregg (NYSE:HGG), is pleased to announce that it has partnered with national non-profit organization, Family First, in a unique campaign to help strengthen and support American families. hhgregg has been named a Family Foundation Partner by Family First and is the title sponsor for multiple All Pro Dad Father & Kids experiences throughout the country. The All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience is a hands-on event providing inspirational bonding opportunities for fathers and their children. hhgregg employees are also volunteering at these events.

"Our partnership with Family First and All Pro Dad provides us with a unique opportunity to give back to our customers and the communities in which they live," said Jeff Pearson, vice president of marketing for hhgregg. "Relationship-building is a core value at hhgregg, and we are proud to be a partner in this important mission to improve family relationships across the country."

All Pro Dad is Family First's innovative program helping men to be better fathers. All Pro Dad's 60 NFL spokesmen, multiple NFL seminars, 900 All Pro Dad's Days, and Play of the Day daily emails that reach almost 50,000 fathers each day, all inspire and equip fathers to be actively involved in their children's lives.

"The All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience gives fathers and their children at each event the opportunity to spend the morning running football-themed drills and spending quality time together, while helping dads learn how to be better fathers," said Tony Dungy, national spokesman for All Pro Dad. "Without the help of companies like hhgregg, we couldn't do what we do to get the word out to dads on the importance of spending time and being present with their kids."

Other Family First programs that hhgregg will help support include the Family Minute, a broadcast program that offers practical, impactful and relevant advice on marriage, parenting and family relationships and is broadcast on 270 radio stations across the country daily, and iMom, a program that supports, inspires and encourages mothers as they strive to raise children who are wise, healthy, purpose-minded, and relationally-focused.

"We are pleased to name hhgregg a Family First Foundation Partner," said Mark Merrill, founder and President of Family First. "We believe hhgregg is a great partner for us because the company strongly shares our core values of promoting happy and healthy families."
